Dark Legacy is a guild of mature players determined to master the 10 and 25 person raid content while maintaining the belief that real life comes first. Many guild members have fulltime jobs and family commitments. As such, we do not raid as many hours a week as most of the raiding guilds close to us in progression. We endeavour to make quality raid time instead of a large quantity of raid time. A successful productive member of Dark Legacy will attempt to attend at least 3 raids a week. If you believe Dark Legacy is the guild for you please read our recruitment policy and charter! Dark Legacy Guild Charter Who We Are We are a World of Warcraft guild on the Lightbringer server. The primary focus of Dark Legacy is to master the new 10 and 25 person raid content while maintaining a friendly and fun atmosphere. We are an adult guild comprised of old and new friends from many different MMORPG's including World of Warcraft Closed Beta Test. Teamwork and a strong online community are the fundamentals which Dark Legacy is founded upon. Many in the guild have full time jobs and families. While Dark Legacy does put RL first, please remember the primary focus of Dark Legacy is to advance the guild through the 10 and 25 person raid content while having fun. We can only accomplish this if everyone helps and participates. Guild Rules and Guidelines Guild rules are an unpleasant but necessary evil in any online guild. The following are rules and guidelines to follow while interacting with your guild-mates. Guild chat is a friendly place. The following are unacceptable in guild chat and on the message boards: 1. Outbursts – while we know that people get excited in a positive or negative way about the game, please do not rant and throw fits. It makes you look bad and takes the fun out of the game for your guild-mates. 2. Disrespect – we all are playing the game in Dark Legacy to accomplish our goal of mastering the 10 and 25 person raid content while having FUN. Hate tells and flames do not contribute to the teamwork necessary for the guild. Avoid them at all costs. 3. Crude Behavior – we are not a “PG” guild by any means. However, lets try and keep extremely graphic chat out of public channels including guild chat. 4. L33T speak – we are a guild of adults. Therefore, we will talk like adults. 5. Begging – this one should be self-explanatory. Don’t do it! 6. Ninja Looting – ninja looting is the act of taking loot that is not rightfully yours whether in a raid or a pickup group. When in doubt, don’t loot! 7. Loot Whoring – be mindful of how you are perceived when it comes to loot. Try to take your share but not be greedy. 8. Selling in Guild – as a team we should endeavor to strengthen the team when possible. While your loot is your loot, there will be no use of guild resources including guild chat and the message boards to sell loot to other members. 9. Removing your Guildtag - your guildtag should be as important to you as it is to the guild. Should you determine that leaving the guild enhances your online experience, then by all means detag. This is a game and everyone should have fun. However, if you remove your guildtag and then subsequently want it back, you may be subject to meeting the Dark Legacy recruiting policy or other requirements before being reinstated if at all. So if you want to detag, make sure that leaving the guild is what you really wish before detagging. Lastly but certainly not least. 10. Do not undertake any action that can or will tarnish the name of the guild or your guild mates! Violations of these rules and guidelines can result in a loss of guild privileges up to and potentially including a loss of your guild membership depending on severity and frequency. Loot/Items Raid Loot We are currently running a variation of Zero-Sum DKP. The system includes bonus dkp for progression nights as well as boss kills. It also incorpates a tiered bidding system which encourages more loot to end up in the hands of our raiders rather than disenchanted. Group Loot If you acquire any items outside of a called raid, you are free to do whatever you want with the item. There is no commitment for you to share it with the guild. If you feel like sharing with the guild, the item is yours so you may decide how to hand it out as you see fit. Remember, there is to be no use of guild chat or guild message boards to sell loot to other members. We are a team and as such any use of guild mediums should be to give away items to other members only. Guild Applications Dark Legacy endeavors to maintain a roster of fun adults who are all working toward the guild’s common goal of mastering raid content. As such, Dark Legacy wants to recruit individuals who will fit in with this mold. All applications will be handled in a fair and consistent manner as outlined by the recruiting policy. Raid Etiquette Raiding is why we are members of the Dark Legacy team. As such we have several rules that will enable us to raid in the most efficient manner possible. 1. Follow the raid leader’s instructions precisely, if you have constructive suggestions talk to the raid leader after the raid to see if your idea might work for next time or if the idea is a critical one for success, contact an officer other than the raid leader. Do not debate the raid leader in guild chat or any other public channel. 2. Do not issue any orders or appear to issue orders unless specifically instructed to do so by the raid leader. Confusion can wipe a raid out quicker than anything. 3. Be very careful not to loot anything that may fall under the guild loot policy unless specifically told to do so. More importantly, make sure not to loot anything that is bind on pickup unless instructed by an officer to do so. Final Points In closing, Dark Legacy is a fun guild filled with adults wanting to master the 10 and 25 person raid content. Lets have fun and accomplish our goals together! | ||
